Yesterday the SHS boys and girls golf team competed in their zone tournaments at Carstairs Golf Club. The girls played well and captured the bronze medal. The boys team fought hard and tied for for 1st, then rallied and won the gold in a playoff against Springbank High. Parker Riou, Chase Penner, Tyler Giesbrecht, and Connor Olexson won the Zone title and banner for SHS. Parker Riou lead the team with the overall low score in the tournament. With a round of 72 he won the boys low gross and 2 gold medals. Congratulations to both SHS golf teams!!
